As the world of digital art continues to expand, blending traditional drawing disciplines with modern technology has become a rare and sought-after value. In my journey as onurollstyle on Etsy, I am proud to have surpassed 20 successful sales, reaching a milestone that reflects the trust of my global collectors. Every piece in my shop is more than just a digital file; it is the culmination of meticulous craftsmanship and a unique artistic vision.

The Soul of Cities: City Travels Collection

Architectural details and the distinct atmosphere of global landmarks serve as the primary inspiration for my work. The City Travels series in my Etsy shop offers a wide range of perspectives, from the soaring skyscrapers of New York to the fairy-tale domes of Moscow’s St. Basil’s Cathedral.

My latest addition, the Paris illustration, captures the iconic silhouette of the Eiffel Tower framed by the city's characteristic street charm. These works are carefully designed to bring the vibrant energy of world-class cities into your personal living or office spaces.

Elegance in Detail: Botanical Art and Ottoman Motifs

Another cornerstone of my artistic approach is the grace of nature combined with the nobility of traditional patterns. In my botanical collection, I bring the freshest colors of the season together with aesthetic vase compositions, rendered with intricate detail.

In this series, motifs inspired by Ottoman patterns merge traditional textures with modern digital art. These detailed drawings, featuring tulips, carnations, and the subtleties of traditional calligraphy-inspired lines, are designed to enrich the atmosphere of your home or office. By blending the clarity of the digital medium with the soul of classical art, these botanical pieces add a sophisticated touch to any interior.

Seasonal Themes and Greeting Cards

I believe art should not be limited to walls but should also be part of our shared special moments. To that end, my Easter and St. Patrick's Day collections allow you to celebrate traditional holidays through a modern illustrative lens. From pastel-toned bunny figures to cheerful gnome characters, these designs offer aesthetic gift alternatives that can be shared instantly with loved ones.

Transparent Production and the No AI Approach

Etsy’s principles of truthful advertising and transparency are the bedrock of my production process. In contrast to the rising trend of AI-generated content, every work under the onurollstyle brand is manually hand-drawn by me on an iPad. Every brushstroke and detail is a guarantee of the artwork's originality and artistic value. This honest approach is a key reason why my shop consistently meets high international store standards.

Instant Access to Art: The Digital Download Advantage

The Digital Download method ensures that no matter where you are in the world, you can access art instantly. Upon purchase, you receive immediate access to your files, allowing you to print them in the sizes and materials that best suit your personal decor style. Thank you for joining me on this artistic journey and for supporting my small business on Etsy.

Hello dear readers! I am Onur Erol, also known as @onurollstyle.

If you love creating artistic projects using materials provided by nature, this post is just for you. Today, I want to share a story that goes beyond a simple handicraft workshop—a story of sustainability that crosses borders, realized under the Erasmus Plus Adult Education Accreditation.

From February 21 to 28, 2026, we hosted a very special event in Istanbul: “Zero Waste Creativity – Corn Husk Craft Workshop”. In collaboration with adult women learners from Slovenia, we transformed nature’s waste into works of art.

The Heart of the Project: Green Transition & Women Empowerment

This workshop is an international mobility activity directly addressing the European Union’s priorities of green transition, inclusion, and lifelong learning. Organized in partnership with the Slovenian institution ZISS, ( Združenje izobraževalnih in svetovalnih središč Slovenije ) we promoted environmentally responsible behavior while exploring the creative reuse of biodegradable materials like corn husks.

Our Core Objectives:

  • Green Transition: Increasing awareness of zero-waste principles and circular economy practices through practical skills.

  • Active Ageing: Strengthening the social participation and well-being of women aged 50–68.

  • Cultural Bridge: Exchanging sustainable traditions and heritage between Slovenia and Türkiye.

A Week-Long Adventure: The Mobility Agenda

Set against the historical backdrop of Istanbul, our guests stayed at the Grand Yavuz Hotel in Sultanahmet. The main focus of our workshop was to create aesthetic and sustainable door wreaths using corn husks.

Step-by-Step Production Phases:

  1. Welcome & Material Preparation: On the first day, we had our ice-breaking session and began processing the corn husks (softening and natural dyeing techniques).

  2. The Birth of Corn Husk Flowers: In the following days, we designed various flowers using different techniques to form the centerpiece of our wreaths. Every petal was shaped by hand.

  3. Enriching with Natural Materials: We didn’t stop at corn husks! We added depth to our designs using dried leaves, twigs, and natural fibers collected from nature.

  4. Final Design: By assembling all these pieces, we completed magnificent door wreaths that truly reflect the zero-waste philosophy.

From the Workshop to the Historical Peninsula: Exploring Istanbul

One of the most enjoyable parts of our program was introducing our guests to the cultural values of Istanbul during our free time. We stepped away from the workshop tables to immerse ourselves in the living history of the city:

  • Eminönü & the Spice Bazaar: A journey through history and aromatic scents while scouting for natural materials.

  • The Grand Bazaar: Exploring traditional crafts in one of the world's oldest shopping centers.

  • Sultanahmet Tours: Discovering the deep connection between architecture and handicrafts in the heart of Istanbul.

What Have We Achieved?

By the end of this workshop, our participants did not just learn how to make flowers from corn husks; they also learned how to evaluate natural materials through "upcycling" and strengthened European cooperation by building intercultural dialogues.

@onurollstyle Note: "Every corn husk nature offers us is actually a masterpiece waiting to be discovered. With this project, we proved once again that creativity is infinite, even when starting with 'waste'."

Acknowledgments

I would like to thank the Slovenian ZISS team, all our talented women participants, and the Erasmus Plus program for their support in this meaningful project. I look forward to meeting again in new workshops to protect nature and keep art alive!
