Hand-Drawn Travel Posters: Turn Your Favorite Trips into Wall Art
Updated: 4 days ago

As a travel content creator, I collect more than photographs. I notice the color of Roman stone at sunset, the sound of a ferry crossing Istanbul, the glow of Paris after rain and the quiet rhythm of Amsterdam’s canals. Those small moments become the starting point for my hand-drawn travel posters. Each print is a way of turning a journey into something you can live with: a city memory on your wall, drawn slowly by hand.
Some cities stay with you long after the trip ends: the light on a Paris street at sunset, the red tram climbing toward Galata Tower, the blue domes of Santorini against the sea. I draw these places by hand so they can live on your wall as a daily reminder of where you have been, or where you dream of going next.
From a journey to a hand-drawn city poster
A photograph records what was there; a drawing lets me interpret what it felt like to be there. I sketch the landmarks, then build the composition around the details that give a city its character: a tram, a rooftop, a narrow street or a particular shade of blue. The result is printable city wall art with the warmth of a personal travel story.

City notes: routes, atmosphere and wall art
Istanbul: start with coffee in Karaköy, walk up through Galata, then take a ferry at golden hour. The city moves between two continents, old streets and water; its red tram and tower are the details I return to in my Istanbul wall art.
Rome: walk from the Colosseum through Monti, pause near the Pantheon and reach Trevi Fountain before evening. Its sun-warmed stone and open-air history inspire the layered tones of my Rome poster.

Athens, Paris and Amsterdam: see Athens from the Acropolis and wander Plaka; follow the Seine to Saint-Germain and Montmartre in Paris; walk the canals and Jordaan in Amsterdam. Each city has its own tempo, and every route offers a new palette for a future hand-drawn print.

Travel gifts
A print of a honeymoon city, hometown or study-abroad destination makes a meaningful housewarming or anniversary gift. For readers who travel, the Printable Travel Bookmarks Set of 12 brings twelve landmarks into every book.
Printing tips
Matte paper keeps colors soft and natural. White or wooden frames let the drawing shine. Every poster is an instant download, so you can print the size that fits your frame.
Wherever your next trip takes you, I hope these drawings bring a little of that feeling home.
